From Approval to Construction, ecological landscape at Rochedale.
A revamp of the Brickworks mine site into an ecologically connected industrial area. The project involved large scale rehabilitation and revegetation of the existing waterway corridor and vegetated buffers to the Gateway motorway. Provision of fauna habitat is a primary driver of the rehabilitation design and seeks to enhance the connectivity to adjacent vegetated areas and already in the early stages we are seeing a return of native wildlife to the site. With such a complex and ever-changing urban landscape it is encouraging to work with clients so committed to improving ecological outcomes within pockets of South East QLD.
During this project we facilitated:
- Expert Liaison with Administering Authorities
- ERA Application
- Ecological studies
- Rehabilitation plans
- Landscape design
- Landscape and revegetation works
Involvement from the initial approval stage through to practical completion within project timelines, Logic Environmental is proud to put the Goodman Rochedale Motorway Estate feather in its cap. Interesting facts:
- Enough jute mat installed to go up and down Mt Cootha by road about 3 times
- Approx 30 mallets worn out pinning jute mat
- 3 Broken Planting Augers
